About OODREY

Something within you still lies dormant.

When we were born, we were complete.

We all possess a free spirit from the very beginning, one that cries, laughs, and moves as it feels.

However, as we live, it gradually becomes covered.

Other people's expectations. The unspoken voices of "this is how it should be."

Assumptions and miscellaneous thoughts that have accumulated unknowingly.

And before we know it, our original brilliance quietly recedes, and we may even forget who we truly are.

Your true self is not lost.

OODREY was born from a half-century of exploration into martial arts and the power of words, and from journeys around the world.

Europe, North America, Africa — encountering different cultures and languages, a certainty began to sprout.

It was the belief that the same light resides within everyone, transcending race and nationality.

At the end of a long journey, we arrived at one simple truth:

"Your true self is not lost. It is merely covered."

To adorn is to remember.

The "calligraphy" that resides in OODREY's garments is not merely a design.

It was born from the intersection of a pre-verbal sensation and the concept of "Kotodama" (the power of words) passed down through ancient Japan.

To wear a piece of clothing.

Perhaps it is a small catalyst for reconnecting with the light that quietly resides within you.

The wish embedded in the name OODREY.

The name OODREY originates from the Japanese word "Odori," meaning dance.

When joy fills us, people naturally begin to dance.

And the sound also embodies a reverence for the elegance and dignity personified by the legendary actress Audrey Hepburn.

What we want to deliver is not the clothing itself.

It is the quiet freedom that arises when you remember your true self.

Light is not something to chase.
It is something to remember.
